Time to Start Booking Holiday Travel
September is such a strange month. It feels like you are in a flux of winding down summer, while still holding onto it as much as possible. The kids are back in school and your family is back in a routine, which feels great (even though you are secretly missing the lazy days of summer and the relief of not having to pack school lunches). With October around the corner, it’s time to shift our thinking to Fall Break and Winter Break, which we know will creep up at lighting speed.
It may seem too early to start booking holiday travel, but that’s not the case according to experts. Now is the time to score the best deals on plane fares and holiday packages. I am a planner by nature, so my wheels are already spinning.
This winter, we have been discussing another trip to Hawaii. Who doesn’t love Hawaii in the winter? We went for the first time in January of 2018 and our kids still talk about it at least once a week. We rarely repeat our travel destinations because our bucket list is way too long to allow it, but it’s looking like Hawaii is the exception to our rule. We stayed at the Grand Wailea, which is a gorgeous behemoth of a resort and incredibly family-friendly. There are swimming pools and waterslides for days, plus a really nice beach right in front of the hotel. My kids, who were 6 & 4 at the time, spent endless hours going up and down those waterslides, never tiring.
This time around, we have better bearings and want to explore more of what Hawaii has to offer. Currently we are deciding between the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, The Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua or the Ritz-Carlton in Waikiki. Our goal is to have this all booked within the next couple of weeks. Like I said, it’s almost October, which means we have a bajillion things on the schedule. Moral of the story, start booking your trips now before prices skyrocket. And tag us at #lelarcswimwear or @lelarcswimwear with places you are planning to go during the fall and winter breaks!
